Good Deeds Foundation was founded on lived experience — by an immigrant who witnessed firsthand the barriers that keep talented, hardworking people from achieving stability.
Our Mission
To empower low-income individuals and families — including immigrants and refugees — to achieve long-term financial stability and self-sufficiency through equitable access to employment opportunities, education, and essential support services.
Our Mission
Our Story
Good Deeds Foundation was founded by an immigrant from Africa who witnessed firsthand the challenges many individuals face — especially those navigating complex immigration systems without financial resources.
Too often, people are labeled as “lazy” when in reality they are navigating barriers that are difficult to overcome without guidance and support. Some individuals are ready and willing to work but cannot afford the legal processes required to obtain documentation. Others lack access to information about how systems work.
Good Deeds Foundation was created to change that narrative. We believe that with the right support, individuals can move from survival to stability — and from stability to success.
What Sets Us Apart
We leverage strong multilingual capabilities to deliver a more effective and inclusive approach. Rather than relying solely on English-only instruction, we teach English through participants’ native languages — ensuring true understanding, not guesswork.
We translate and interpret concepts into languages participants are comfortable with — reinforced through weekly assessments. Over 20 participants have significantly improved their English proficiency in just three months.
We address the whole person — employment, education, legal navigation, mental wellness, and government access — because barriers don't come one at a time. Our integrated approach means clients don't fall through the cracks.
In 2025 alone: 68 individuals placed in full-time jobs, 42 students supported academically, 109 immigration legal referrals, and 40+ families trained in digital and AI literacy. We produce measurable life change.
What Sets Us Apart
We meet people where they are — without judgment.
We act with honesty and full accountability in all we do.
Opportunity should be accessible to all — not just a privileged few.
We lead with understanding, especially in the most difficult moments.
We believe small acts of kindness create the largest lasting change.
