Every member of our team has walked a journey that connects them deeply to the communities we serve. This is not just a job — it is a calling.
Every member of our team brings lived experience, deep compassion, and a personal commitment to helping immigrants, refugees, and families build brighter futures in Colorado.
Millie Ratliff brings decades of experience in humanitarian service, case management, childcare, tax
preparation, accounting, and business management. Currently pursuing legal studies, she combines
professional expertise with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by immigrants, refugees,
low-income families, seniors, and other underserved populations.
As Founder and Program Director of Good Deeds Foundation, Millie's vision is simple: every individual
deserves access to the knowledge, resources, and opportunities needed to thrive. She is passionate about
breaking down barriers through economic empowerment, financial literacy, adult education, digital
literacy, and workforce readiness programs.
Recognizing that technology increasingly shapes daily life, Millie champions initiatives that help older
adults and newcomers gain confidence using computers, mobile applications, online job portals, AI tools,
and essential digital services. From employment preparation and driver's license resources to immigration
referrals and community navigation, she works to ensure that no one is left behind because of language,
technology, or financial barriers.
Millie believes that empowering one individual strengthens an entire family, and empowering a family
strengthens an entire community. Through Good Deeds Foundation, she continues to build bridges that
connect people to opportunity, dignity, and lasting self-sufficiency.
Army Veteran
A proud Army veteran, Terry Ratliff brings both technical expertise and a passion for service to Good Deeds Foundation. Motivated by his appreciation for diverse cultures and a desire to help newcomers thrive, Terry teaches basic to intermediate computer skills, empowering immigrants and seniors to confidently navigate today's digital world. Whether helping someone apply for a job online, connect with loved ones, or access essential services, Terry is closing the digital divide one student at a time. When asked what he enjoys most, Terry says, “Introducing seniors to computers and different apps has been the most fun part of the job.”
Refugee & Humanitarian
Drawing from her own journey as a refugee and newcomer, Christina serves as a trusted bridge between immigrant families and community resources. Her international humanitarian experience, dedication to learning English, and passion for advocacy empower her to support Hispanic families, promote educational success, encourage positive youth development, and help newcomers navigate the challenges of building a new life in America. Through compassion, cultural understanding, and community engagement, Christina works to strengthen families, reduce barriers to opportunity, and inspire hope for future generations.
Refugee & Single Mother
Came to America as a refugee and a single mother, Janet Umutoni understands firsthand the challenges immigrant families face when rebuilding their lives in a new country. Drawing from her own journey, she connects families to critical resources, educational opportunities, youth programs, and community support networks. Janet's compassionate leadership helps newcomers overcome barriers, build confidence, and create pathways to long-term stability and success. Her work ensures that vulnerable families are not only welcomed but empowered to thrive.
Immigrant Youth — Now Mentor
Lucas understands firsthand the challenges immigrant youth face when adapting to a new country.
Arriving in the United States during high school with limited English proficiency, he persevered
through language barriers, graduated, and continued his education in college. His personal journey
fuels his passion for helping immigrant youth overcome similar obstacles.
As Good Deeds Foundation's Financial Literacy and Youth Sports Coordinator, Lucas uses sports as a
bridge to mentorship, leadership development, and community engagement. He works closely with young
people to strengthen English language skills, build confidence, promote educational success, and
connect families to mental health resources when needed. Through positive role models, teamwork, and
practical life-skills education, Lucas helps youth develop the tools they need to thrive academically,
socially, and financially.
